SCOV Active Solos Club

A club for active singles from SCOV (plus a few friends). This club meets the needs of active, non-partnered singles looking for other non-partnered singles to do things together.

This is a great chance to meet other active singles in the community.

  • Our objective is to establish a club that meets the needs of active, non-partnered singles looking for other non-partnered singles to do things with; a chance for solo camaraderie.
  • Types of activities we plan for are opportunities for members to gather and participate in various types of social and recreational events, including, but not limited to: informal get togethers, outings, sporting events, musical events, movies, plays, shopping, happy hours and/or eating out at various restaurants.
  • Location of activities will primarily be at non-SCOV facilities – local venues in Oro Valley and the greater Tucson area and some gatherings may occur at members’ private homes. SCOV facilities may be used for informal gatherings, such as an outdoor gathering on the back patio of Catalina Vista or occasionally at The Views Restaurant.

SCOV facilities may be used for the annual membership meeting.

Prepare & Share Dinner Club

From December through March, couples take part in four themed dinners, hosting one and attending three others as guests. Each dinner is held in a member’s home and includes at least six or more participants. The scheduling secretary arranges the monthly small groups to promote a variety of new connections. Hosts coordinate suitable dates and times for a short planning session and the dinner itself. They prepare the main course, and guests bring complementary dishes. In addition to the themed dinners, the club gathers for spring and fall potluck events, offering opportunities for broader community interaction. May through October casual get-togethers are scheduled periodically. Joining this club is a delightful way to expand your circle of friends and your palate.
