FILL OUT THIS FORM IF YOU DETERMINE THAT YOU NEED A CONCEPT CONSIDERATION MEETING WITH THE ARC TO DETERMINE IF YOUR PROJECT IS FEASIBLE.

Directions

This application addresses room additions, patio covers and glass patio enclosure only.

1. Please refer to the current SCOV MASTER DECLARATION and the SCOV DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS for guidelines. These documents are available on the SCOV website. The homeowner is responsible to adhere to the directives of the governing documents. If a completed project does not meet those requirements, the homeowner is responsible for bringing the project into compliance in a timely manner at his/her expense.

2. Any incomplete submittal will be returned or tabled. There are no exceptions. All future submittal correspondence should go to: [email protected]. Please add this email address to your contact list.

3. Initiating an ARC Concept Application entails the payment of a $125 fee; check should be made out to Sun City Oro Valley and sent or dropped off to 1565 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd., Oro Valley, AZ 85755. Attention: ARC. Mark the check memo with your unit and lot and "ARC Concept Application". Only the check should be mailed to this address.
NOTE: No additional $25.00 fee for the submittal is payable once you have paid the $125.00 Concept Application fee.

4. The Concept Application needs to be filled out with all required information and agreed to by the homeowner. If a Designated Representative will be submitting the plan for you, please fill out the Designated Representative form. You as the homeowner or the Designated Representative must be available to meet with ARC Representatives to review your project's concept on-site approximately one week prior to a meeting. An ARC member will contact you for an appointment. If you do not respond to the ARC member's phone call for an appointment, then your submittal will be tabled until you communicate agreement to an appointment time.

5. The homeowner or designated representative is responsible to provide all of the following:
A) $125.00 Fee
B) Signed Concept Application Form with detailed description of the project
C) Plot plan (sent to you with this form) that is annotated to show the location of the proposed home expansion
D) Marked corners of the total width, length, height, and elevation of the footprint change on the plot plan (include the distance to the property lines)
E) An accurate drawing/sketch (architectural plans are not required for this stage) and a photograph showing location of proposed project.
F) List of all material to be used including brochures and sample
G) Illustrated expansion on a copy of the original Del Webb floor plan which can be found in Board Policy ARC-006 Addendum A

6. After the Concept Consideration Meeting, ARC will will meet at a regularly scheduled meeting to consider information from the online Concept Application, the Concept Consideration Meeting and all applicable governing document requirements. The ARC will then render a decision on the proposed expansion. (See SCOV Board Policy ARC-006 for possible decision outcomes.)

7. NO WORK ON YOUR PROPOSED PROJECT MAY BE STARTED AND/OR COMPLETED PRIOR TO GOING THROUGH THE ARC SUBMITTAL PROCESS WHICH INCLUDES A NEXT STEP AFTER CONCEPT APPLICATION APPROVAL (FINAL SUBMITTAL).
